Winter found us in the middle of nowhere during a late fall Michigan camp. What started as a calm, cold night turned into the first snowfall of the year — and my dog BRINX' first snow ever. With dark clouds rolling in, temperatures dropping fast, and winter minutes away, we cooked homemade campfire bread over the fire and soaked in the last moments of fall before the season changed for good.
