Ricky Nowis Train Sim Journey's Episode 2 - Swansea to Cardiff Central

Welcome to you all to the second episode of Ricky Nowis Train Sm Journey's. Hope your all keeping well and dong safe out there.

For this episode, we are going to be driving along the South Wales Coastal Route between Swansea and Cardiff Central. Following the real life timetable of train 1B41 (19:14) Arriva Trains Wales service from Milford Haven to Cardiff Central. Our traction is a Armstrong Powerhouse class 175 Coradia unit.

The class 175's were introduced into service oddly in the North West of England working for First North Western in the late 90's early 2000's. Their main diagrams then was working Manchester to Barrow In Furness and Windermere services. Also, were seen in parts of Wales.

As Arriva Trains Wales took over, the class 175's were seen on North/South Wales diagrams working long services linking Manchester and Wales via Cheshire/Shropire. The units has a top speed of 100 MPH with built in air conditioning and table seats. The class 175's are undergoing refurbishment for Transport For Wales. In the past, these units did have realbility issues which meant tempory withdraw from service.

Howerver, their future hangs in the balance as the new class 197's are being built at their local in Newport CAF. The class 197's are set to replace the 175's on North and South Wales services.
