Shazam & Captain Marvel Awkward Movie Set Leaks & Comcast Blocks Disney's Fox Buyout. Quick Flip #18

DC films Shazam movie is in development for a 2019 release with Zachary Levi playing the lead role as the original Captain Marvel now known as Shazam. We haven't heard much about what Warner Brothers was doing with this comic book property, other than Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock Leaking on social media that he was playing Black Adam. But recently a Shazam set image leaked looking downright horrible, with stupid boots and a long drape cape that looked like the curtains in your grandmothers living room. Zack Levi went to social media to explain the leak wasn't on purpose and something better would be put out by WB soon. It needs to happen like yesterday because it looks horrible and DC already has a bad reputation. Marvel got a smear too with there Captain Marvel set leak with Carol Danvers played by Brie Larson in a Green outfit when the comics her outfit has Bright Red in those spots. I give an explanation in the video about why this green makes sense in the backstory of the Kree Comic book origin of Marvels Mar-Vell backstory.

In other news The Disney deal to buy Fox and then therefore inherit the comic universes of the Complete X-Men and all mutants plus the Fantastic Four has been BLOCKED by Comcast. In some very complicated business deals involving the Sky Network. A British TV broadcaster, the Dinsey acquisition is not a done deal. So you will not see Silver Surfer and Galactus showing up in Avengers 4 Part two of the Infinity War and you will NOT see Wolverine battling the Hulk anytime soon. Stay tuned because things are getting more and more interesting with these whole corporations that control the superhero properties you love and what direction the MCU will go in Phase 4 is up in the air.

lastly the New Comic Wednesday Pick of the week is Rick And Morty Present the Vindicators from Oni Press. These spin off characters are major hit, being they are a spoof of The Avengers, Justice League, Teen Titans and Guardians Of The Galaxy. The print runs on Oni books are very tiny so this could heat up quickly. The runner up Is Infinity Countdown #1 from Marvel. This is the first part of a 5 part mini-series in which the Infinity Stones are in play and may help explain how they work in time for the live action Infinity War movie dropping in May. This issue also has a gorgeous Adi Granov Captain Marvel cover that should sell for a nice premium!
