Cape Town's SWAT team capture armed suspects

In Cape Town, we have been investing heavily into our municipal safety teams. Over the recent years, we have added computer-aided GPS despatching to all our enforcement units.

we have added dash cameras to our vehicles, body cameras to our officers, drones in the air.

But we still need to add more. So we have now brought in the Eye-In-The-Sky. A piloted aeroplane that circles above our city, with a high-powered camera rig that we can streams visuals directly into our control rooms.

All this technology, we decided to "test" our teams. So we set up a simulation.

An armed robbery has just taken place at a shopping centre, the caller provided a description getaway vehicle. We sent out an APB until one of our Highway Patrol vehicles spotted the vehicle. Then we let things play out...
