Authorities have dispatched thousands of security forces and even helicopters to patrol the streets and skies of Isfahan in central Iran to install fear among city locals and prevent any rally scheduled for Friday, December 3, 2021. Locals have called to continue protests over severe water shortages that erupted one week earlier on Friday, November 26.

Activists reported:
-Authorities preventing any type of even small gatherings
-helicopters flying overhead
-internet access slowed
-security forces dispatched in large numbers
-people are in the streets, but in small pockets

Activists report that the regime has imposed a strict martial law and cannot tolerate even the peaceful demonstrations by people protesting severe water shortages.
