There were extraordinary exchanges today as the Public Accounts Committee grilled RTÉ executives over the Ryan Tubridy payments scandal.

The committee heard that it was 'possible' the scandal influenced Ryan Tubridy's decision to step down from 'The Late Late Show'. While the chair of the RTÉ board described the payments as "an act to deceive".
