Madhya Pradesh, a state in central India is home to a diverse range of geological wonders. In this episode of Madhya Pradesh's Geological Wonders, the host Avinash Sachdev takes us through the origins of unique rocks and life forms on Earth, from the ancient granitoid rocks of #orchha to the other worldly cauldron-like rock structure of Dhala (Dhala crater, Asia’s largest impact structure). Venturing through Raneh Falls, situated in #Khajuraho commonly referred to as the Grand Canyon of India, we witness its spectacular natural multi-colored rock formations and understand these diverse indigenous rocks.

In addition to its breath taking/stunning geological features, Madhya Pradesh also inhabits some of the oldest life forms on Earth, including the stromatolites of Satna. These ancient cyanobacterial mats (Algal mat) are believed to have played a significant role in the origin of life on Earth.

We also uncover the lives of the people who lived in the area over 40,000 years ago through their ancient rock paintings at UNESCO World Heritage Site of #bhimbetka.
