PART 1 - This presentation provides information on BASAL/BACKGROUND insulin secretion. Also discussed is Phase 1 & 2 of insulin secretion in regards to meals (ie:PEAKS) and the mechanism behind this.
Explanation of the mediators and pathways for insulin secretion in relation to Phase 1 & 2 is also discussed.
