📣📣 3 November 2021-- An update from the Thai government regarding Thailand's #COVID19 situation, reporting from the Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA)
Highlights:
The number of vaccines that have been administered since the start of our national vaccine drive in February 2021 keeps rising. Yesterday, we administered 787,976 doses of vaccines, making the national rate of those who have received their first dose of vaccine at 59.4% of the total population, with the accumulated number of vaccinations at over 77 million doses.
Since 1 November 2021, Thailand has launched the Exemption from Quarantine (Test and Go) scheme welcoming travelers from abroad. As of yesterday, 1,769 travelers used the Test and Go scheme, out of a total of 4,022 persons within the past two days (1-2 November 2021). The nations coming into Thailand who most utilized the Test and Go are Japan, Singapore, Qatar, China, and Germany. The Thailand Pass system has registered 39,506 travelers who want to travel to Thailand, of which 6,484 have been approved. Thailand Pass can be visited via https://tp.consular.go.th/.
The Department of Disease Control has issued an updated vaccine passport called “COVID-19 Certificate of Vaccination,” as published in the Royal Gazette. Within the document, details of the immunization certificate for international travel are presented. Also, an electronic version of the immunization certificate will be made available.
It is worth noting that the reopening of Thailand to tourism both internationally and locally must be done in strict compliance with DMHTTA and universal prevention measures. This is aimed at protecting ourselves and the ones we love as we are transitioning towards learning to live with COVID-19 under the “new normal.”
