Windows 3.0 MME — the PC's silent trendsetter

Windows 3.0 MME is an enhanced iteration of Windows 3.0 that doesn't get discussed often when talking about the history of Windows and how it became one of the most popular operating systems in the world. Its native support for sound, audio CDs, and other miscellaneous multimedia features inevitably categorized it as a "silent trendsetter" of sorts in the PC industry. Despite its release being extremely limited, it helped pave the way for improved multimedia support in Windows down the line and led to virtually all PC manufacturers enhancing their offerings with the latest and greatest in audio/video hardware.

This video goes over the generic Creative Labs release of Windows 3.0 MME, which includes several Sound Blaster drivers, Trident TVGA video card drivers, MIDI files, and much more.
