Making commercial content isn't always easy, but when working on Katy Perry's "Harleys in Hawai’i," directors Hoku Uchiyama and Adam Bolt felt like they were living the dream.

We spoke with the creative team about working for hire, the creative process, and the challenges of making a music video that was fun, beautiful, and culturally sensitive.

"Harleys in Hawai’i" received a Special Mention, Music Video Prize at SPARK ANIMATION 2021.
