Based on three stories by American award‐winning novelist Jack London, Burning Daylight is an anthology film set in New York in the 1920's. The story weaves a moral tapestry with the threads of human vanity, duplicity and corruption. In Part I 'Just Meat', two low‐life thieves enjoy the euphoria of a post jewel heist by reveling in the cachet of precious stones only to discover that despite their camaraderie, a subtle and troublesome rivalry brews from within. Part II, 'To Kill A Man,' depicts the subtleties of mind games between a calculating woman of wealth and a seemingly inane, poor thief. And in Part III 'Burning Daylight,' three masterminds of the Wall Street game whose plan to duel with the legendary Klondike businessman unravels their intricately spun web of lies and deception, behind which stands the true architect of the plot ‐ the quietly sophisticated yet calculating woman.
