Proxmox Installation Guide For Beginners!

Virtual Machines are a great way to dive into different operating systems and software that you don’t want to load on your own computer. Having an environment you can try new things in and not worry about messing things up permanently is a great feeling. During my journey into tech, Virtual Machines have been the best way to immerse myself into all different types of technologies.

This video goes through the steps of installing Proxmox a hypervisor for your virtual environment on an old device you may have laying around.

System Requirements:

- CPU: 64bit with Intel VT/AMD-V
- RAM: 1GB
- Hard Drive
- One NIC (network interface card)

Everything you will need for the install:

- Device that meets the requirements
- Another computer on the same network
- Ethernet Cable
- Flash drive with at least 2GB
- Know how to enter the BIOS for your specific device
