The future of work apparently looks like this: Quit your job. Stop your education. Bill Gates says you’re about to be a part-time human. That's basically what he said. But if you really insist on being specific, he predicts that within a few years, we will only work 2–3 days a week.

And Bill should know. He's made many predictions in the past. He's basically a clairvoyant. He even predicted that spam would be solved by 2006. At least he got that right.

But should we really be celebrating—or preparing for something far messier?
We need to ask the real question: Is it likely that AI will lead to us working less, or is this just another failed prediction from an out-of-touch billionaire?
