There is a lot of good news for the people of Bihar. Approval has been received to become the first expressway in Bihar. This expressway will be 271 km long. It will also be known as the North-South Corridor. Will go from the end of South Bihar to the Nepal border of North Bihar. That is, from Aurangabad to Jaynagar of Mithila.
This road will pass through 6 districts of the state including Patna. This road goes to Patna and there will be direct contact with Darbhanga Airport. Also, it will be connected to GT Road. Road construction has been entrusted to NHAI. This 271 km long road will start from Aurangabad and reach Kachchh Dargah via Jehanabad. From there, it will enter Vaishali through the bridge being built between the Kudhi Dargah Bidupur. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has asked to connect this bridge to Tajpur. In such a situation, its usefulness will increase further. This road will end in Jaynagar, going from Vaishali to Samastipur and Darbhanga to Nepal border. In this way, this road to become a fourlane will pass through Aurangabad, Jehanabad, Vaishali and Madhubani besides Patna.
This expressway, which starts as the North-South Corridor, will go from Aurangabad to Jayanagar. Which will be 271 km long. This fourlane road, starting from Madanpur in Aurangabad, will also provide connectivity to GT Road via Gaya Airport. From Gaya, it will pass through the borders of Jehanabad and Nalanda to the Dargah Dargah in Patna. From here the 6 lane bridge being constructed between Bidupur will go to Tajpur via Chakasikandar, east of Mahua. From there it will pass at Darbhanga Airport and terminate at Jayanagar.
Bihar's first expressway Aurangabad-Jayanagar road will be a green field. 80% of the green field has been kept in this road to be built under the Bharatmala Scheme. Green field means that 80% of the new road will be in this corridor.
