Whole Green Moong Dal Curry in Instant Pot | Green Mung Bean Curry | Green Lentils

Recipe :
Ingredients :
Whole Green Moong dal - 1 cup ( Mung Bean )
Soak Moong dal in water for 1 hour and drain the water and rinse (keep aside)
Onion - 1 ( medium size) chop into small pieces
Tomato - 1 (large ) chop into small pieces
Green chillies - 2
Ginger garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
Coriander powder - 1 Teaspoon
Chilli powder - 1 Tablespoon
Garam masala powder - 1/4 teaspoon
Water for moong dal - 3 cups
Coriander leaves
Oil - 1 Tablespoon ( or ghee )
Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
Salt

Procedure :
1. On Saute
2. Add oil, cumin seeds, onions and green chillies , saute onions till they are translucent .
3. Add ginger garlic paste, tomatoes, turmeric powder , coriander powder, chilli powder , garam masala powder and saute a minute
4. Add moong dal and water ( for 1 cup dal add 3 cups water )
5. Add Salt and mix well ( check salt )
6. Cancel Saute
7. Close the lid and set vent to sealing position
8. Set Time : Manual (or) Pressure Cook - 15 minutes
Pressure - HIGH
Release - Natural Release ( or) Release after 15 minutes
9. When pressure is released, add coriander leaves and lemon juice(optional)
10. Mix well and serve.
