For this version of this Rolling Stones classic, I wanted to take it somewhere more intimate, darker, and more somber. The lyrics have always carried a deep sense of emptiness and loss, and slowing everything down allowed me to sit inside that feeling and let it breathe.

This is also something of an experiment for my acoustic channel. I wanted to see how this kind of slower, darker reinterpretation resonates with you, whether this atmosphere, this quieter and heavier mood, is something you’d like me to explore more often here.

Sometimes, when you strip a song down, it reveals a different truth.
