[Fiesta EX Mission Zone Info]
Mission Zone in Fiesta EX in pretty much like Mission Zone in Fiesta. Some missions have been fixed and a few missions have been added.
Skill up and Mission zone are their own separate things, but they contribute to the same mission completed count. Skill Up is basically there to practice your skills on certain techniques, such as drills, runs, stairs, turns, triples, and so on. All missions in Skill Up have a requirement of "Grade A or better". There are also co-op missions which are more of a side thing than anything else. They don't contribute to the main mission count, and you can only play them with 2 players active, and both players having USBs.
Mission Zone has a nice start. You can basically roam free through the entire grid, aside from the nodes with keys on them. These keys grant access to small clusters of missions called "Mission Hells". They're considerably tougher than the overall difficulty of the non-hell missions. You'll also notice "F1(2, 3, 4)" on the bottom of each node. These are "floors", which are basically different requirements using the same song/chart. Mission nodes can have anywhere from 1 to 4 floors. You can't access the latter floors until you beat the initial ones.
Sometimes, you'll get items after successfully completing a mission. Some of the items are: 3x, 4x, 5x, Break OFF, XJ (Extra Judgment), +10% life, 120% life. I think you always get an item after beating a new Skill Up mission.
[How to get Keys]
In Mission Zone, you'll get your first key by beating a 4-floor mission using Csikos Post. To find it, look for a warp in the main area that leads to a 3-mission cluster. The mission in question has 4 floors. When you play it, you'll notice that there is a fire skin arrow and an ice skin arrow. This is where the division mode gimmick begins. If you remember division mode from Premiere 3, it has special "[W]ild" and "[G]roove" steps, which make the chart harder or easier, respectively. The fire and ice steps will do the same thing. There are 4 different combinations: Neither step, both steps, only fire, and only ice. Each requirement for the Csikos post mission will be satisfied only by a specific chart. Once you beat all 4 floors, you'll get a key, which unlocks the first mission hell.
Each of the mission hells has a 4-floor boss mission which can't be accessed until the rest of the missions in that cluster are complete. Further more, the key to the next mission hell is obtained by fully beating the boss missino in the current cluster. So it's very sequential in that respect.
