【4K】熊野大花火大会、七里御浜を彩る光とごう音　10年ぶりの土日開催　Kumano Fireworks Festival

　300年以上の歴史があるとされる「熊野大花火大会」が17日夜、世界遺産・獅子岩を望む三重県熊野市の七里御浜で開かれた。10年ぶりの土日開催となる。16万人が夜空と熊野灘を彩る光とごう音の競演を楽しんだ。
　七里御浜は世界文化遺産「紀伊山地の霊場と参詣道」の一部として登録されている。
　世界文化遺産登録から20年を迎えた記念花火で幕開けし、三尺玉を爆発させる「海上自爆」や「鬼ケ城」と呼ばれる奇岩が続く岩場で仕掛け花火も。
　初盆供養のため約300年前に始まったとされる。

The Kumano Grand Fireworks Festival, which is said to have a history of over 300 years, was held on the night of the 17th at Shichiri Mihama in Kumano City, Mie Prefecture, overlooking the World Heritage Site, Shishiiwa Rock. This marks the first time it has been held on a weekend in 10 years. 160,000 people enjoyed the roaring sound and light display that lit up the night sky and the Kumano Sea.
Shichiri Mihama is registered as part of the World Heritage Site, "Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountain Range."
The festival kicked off with a commemorative fireworks display to mark 20 years since it was registered as a World Heritage Site, followed by a "suicide at sea" display in which a three-foot ball exploded, and a set of fireworks set off at a rocky outcrop with strange rock formations known as "Oni-ga-jo."
The festival is said to have begun about 300 years ago as a memorial for the first Bon festival.
