Did you know that Brain Stimulation can be used to activate certain brain areas related to symptoms people are experiencing?

It involves placing two or more electrodes on the head and delivering a safe, low-voltage current that passes from the positive electrode (called the anode) to the negative electrode (called the cathode), which activates the brain areas between those electrodes. You can deliver constant current, to boost function during a task (e.g. learning new words, or practicing math problems), or alternating current, to modulate different brain wave frequencies (e.g. increasing alpha waves).

Similar to neurofeedback, doing this repeatedly over time can strengthen brain areas or connections of interest, or help the brain learn to produce healthier wave patterns, decreasing the negative symptoms people might be experiencing.
