Today's quickies is whether live action anime is worth the money and effort!

Live action in anime has a bad name and leaves a bad taste in your mouth. We've seen countless attempts at live actions that have failed pretty badly and have not done justice to the original show at all! Anyone remember the Dragon Ball live action movie? What a mess! And it doesn't stop there. The FullMetal Alchemist live action was disappointing, the Death Note live action is just all over the place and the Avatar: The Last Airbender movie? That doesn't even exist. These have all been failures.

That's not to say ALL live actions are bad though! Ghost In The Shell has a live action with Scarlett Johansson and that's pretty good! Spirited Away is getting a live action and that is potentially an amazing movie that will floor people and get them into Ghibli. Finally, Akira is also getting a live action movie and it is directed by Taika Waititi! That's going to be something we're really looking forwards to!
