As the 2022 Adelaide Italian Festival officially comes to a close, we reflect on why the festival all began...

Whether it’s sauce day with the family, a big bowl of Nonna’s pasta, a cheeky game of Briscola with Zio or that sneaky $50 bill Nonno slips into your hand at a family event… whatever being Italian means to you, it’s our mission to preserve the Italian way of life here in Adelaide.

From the immigrants who voyaged to Australia all those years ago and shared the ways of their heritage with their children, to the young ones that wear their Italian names proudly in all that they do, this is for you.

Our culture is like no other and we thank you for these incredible past 10 days and are amazed at just how much our traditions have brought together a community of South Australians from all cultures and backgrounds.
