Make NF Research Visible: Carrie and Holly Beeman

Carrie's journey as an NF mom started in a local healthcare provider’s office. When she took her daughter Holly in for a six-month-old physical, she said, “I have moles, but my daughter has all these spots.” That was the first time she heard the words neurofibromatosis type 1. Now 17 years old, Holly is transitioning into adulthood with the ongoing support and love that characterize so many NF moms like Carrie. This video footage was collected at the 2022 NF Summit, when Holly was 15 years old, with photography taken at the 2023 Summit, when Holly was 16.
