Things will look different for Nevada Schools this year.

News laws will make sure children are getting the best education possible.

Senate Bill 460, a whopping 200 page education bill signed by the Governor in June, looks at funding for pre-kindergarten programming and changes to open enrollment for students.

The bill that was sponsored by Senate Majority Leader Nicole Cannizzaro, addresses proficiency and student achievement.

And it puts steps in place if a school or district is falling behind.
