This is a super quick tutorial on how I made my feathers in video #9 with string/yarn.
I used leftover paints so the metallic paints already had silicone, the black and white didn't have any. Before I started filming I put a flood coat of white over the whole canvas. I laid out my colours on a piece of plastic wrap. The colour closest to me was the tip of the feather. I also used a skewer to drag out a few lines from the very base of the feather to get the fluffy bits at the base. The rest you can see in the video.
Colours used were Chromacryl white, Global black, DecoArt copper, venetian gold, splendid gold and pearl white.
