You last heard from us at dawn, the start of the battles
We were young men who only wanted to do good
We were smart and happy women and wanted so badly to love
When you searched for us in hope and prayer, on the morning of that Saturday
You discovered atrocities, you were horrified, disaster, you could not breathe.

When we were murdered the land was wounded and stunned
We visualized you, talked to you, said goodbyes, and there is no comfort.
All we wanted was to have fun and dance
We tried to escape, we were afraid, we were slaughtered by ruthless savages
Smiles in the most recent photographs show that we dreamed future and life.
And now we are above, floating, down below, we lie in graves

We are the families of the winter of 2023
We buried you and we are left alone, without strength, not knowing how to live
You won't love, you won't laugh
You will never have children, no longer dance at parties.
We will put pressure, we will demand and we will fight
When you went dancing they promised, promises need to be kept.
We will hurt forever, we won't forget and we won't forgive, and all of this is for you.
