Mahabharat is a famous Hindu epic of ancient India. This epic story teaches us that good is always victorious against evil. After 18 days of the bloodiest war, we know that the Pandavas won and Yudhistar ruled the Hastinapur.

But many of us are not aware of what happened after the Kurukshetra war and we don’t have any idea to the questions like

For how many years did the Pandavas rule? How did they end their Life?
and how did Lord Krishna left the Mortal world?

So, let's take the questions one by one.
First,
What happened to Pandavas after Mahabharat War:

Pandavas ruled for about 36 years. When Dwapuryug Was about to end and Kali-yuga was about to start, Yudhister decided to crown Parikshit as the King. Then the Pandavas along with Draupadi went to climb the Himalayas as the final destination to heaven.

The Lord Yama in the form of a stray dog joins them on their way to the Himalayas. While climbing to the top they began to die one by one. Draupadi dies first and Bheem the last. The reason behind their deaths was the pride they had. Only Yudhistar not proud of anything he had achieve and so, reaches the door of heaven along with the stray dog. Then Lord Yama reveals his identity and takes him to heaven. And This is how the Pandavas left the mortal world.

Now Next question:-
How did Lord Krishna left the Mortal world?

After the war, Lord Krishna visits Gandhari to comfort her. In her grief and anger, she questions Krishna ‘’You have the power to avert this war, then why did you not do anything to stop it?.’’ Then Krishna tells her that your husband made a sin with regard to the swan in his previous birth. As a result of his karma, he was born blind and his hundred sons have died.

Gandhari still curses Lord Krishna that his entire Yadhava Clan will have a painful death like that of her son’s. After that, There was a huge chaos in the Yadhava clan among themselves internally regarding their positions in the kingdom. Lord Krishna calls Arjuna and tells him to look after Dwaraka and he leaves for the forest. By then the people of Dwaraka starts attacking each other and results in death of many, which led to the destruction of the entire clan.
While lord krishna was in forset, A hunter named Jara mistakenly shoots an arrow at Lord Krishna's foot and that fatally injures him. Lord Krishna forgives Jara and leaves the Mortal world. Afte that Arjuna heads back to Hastinapur along with the leftover people of Dwaraka.

And that's how things ended after
Mahabharat War.
