1972 Mercedes Benz 280SE 4.5 (W108)

On 6/26/2021, I purchased this car and made this video 14 days later as the first documentation of getting this car back on the road. By serendipity, a friend saw it covered in a machine shed of a landscaper and contacted me as he knew I would be interested. Upon inspection the car was filthy, suffered from benign neglect, but solid. The shut lines and panels were absolutely perfect. After I purchased the car, I found some service records in the glove box that the owner did not know were there. They began when the car was new with 729 miles in 1972 and paused in 1980 with 76,030 miles. They picked up again in 2013 with 117,000 miles and ended with my purchase on 6/26/2021 with 123,350 miles. My best guess is that it was painted, and interior refurbished sometime between 1980 and 2013 as that is when the owner obtained the car, and he did not know that information. I did not take any pictures or video before I cleaned and detailed the car. This video starts after I've detailed the car. I felt this should be the first thing to do as the cosmetics were excellent and not cleaning it would increase potential for damage. I discuss what I knew about the car at that time, and what I've already done and will do in the future. At that time, I had not gone through all the documentation I had found.
