Time for a short but sweet drive along the WCML Over Shap route. Northern operates regular and frequent services between Lancaster to Morecambe with a daily service which extends through to Heysham Port. Normally up to 2 trains per hour with the same train unit being a class 156 nowadays.

Since the class 142 & 144 Pacerbuses has been withdrawn from service, Northern has put on Sprinter units and CAF class 195's on diagrams which the Pacers used to operate. This scenario is one example, a drive with 158756 working 2Y60: Morecambe to Leeds via Lancaster.

The 3 carriage 158's were once very common and popular on the York to Blackpool North services which its now only a daily 158 working. Now, 158's are seen working on Leeds to Morecambe diagrams with sometimes an additional unit like a class 153 on the train.

Sadly, this scenario only see's Northern class 156's as my gaming laptop isn't powerful enough to work the Avanti West Coast class 390 Pendolino's. But, will put it on future investment for a more powerful gaming laptop. Either way a nice drive Morecambe to Carnforth via Lancaster.
