Happy Feet--Landing a Taildragger

Описание к видео Happy Feet--Landing a Taildragger

This short video shows what many tailwheel instructors describe as "happy feet." I'm landing the Extra 300L on runway 9R at KBVU with a quartering crosswind from the left. The goal is keep the airplane aligned with the runway centerline, and during the flare and rollout, I try to dance on the rudder pedals, making constant, small inputs to keep the airplane pointed straight ahead. That's what we mean by "happy feet." You don't push one pedal, wait, and then push the other. Instead, you make constant, small inputs, as if you doing a quick little two-step on the rudder.
