This 1 of 3 videos show you how I install bushings in a clock without the high dollar bushing tools. I use a pin vise, reamers, diamond reamers straight, drill press, dremel, and sometimes a cordless drill. I hope this helps you. This set up works for me. Maybe it can work for you also. Please note that this procedure explained in this video is for a hole that is not oblonged. If your hole is not perfectly round then you have to file the opposite side of the hole that is round so when you do drill the hole out that the hole that you are going to drill comes out in the dead center of the original hole. If your hole is oblonged please watch other videos before attempting this procedure so you can learn how to drill out a hole that is oblonged in diameter.

P/N 19587 cutting broaches .9mm to 4.0 mm cost $16
P/N 29069 10-piece diamond reamer set cost $5
P/N 19685 4-piece pin vise set $8.25 set
You would also want a smooth cutting broach at least the following which is .9 mm at the biggest but other clock holes have a bigger diameter hole so for most pivots for cuckoo clocks it would need p/n 23216 Stub size #64 (.0354”-the largest diameter the
broach will smooth). 1-7/8” long.
