With dragon dances, Taichi, folkloric performances and calligraphy, the 22nd Washington Chinese Culture Festival kicked off in the US capital, Washington, D.C. on Saturday, attracting nearly 10,000 local attendees.

As a remarkable celebration, it kept its promise to immerse attendees in the rich tapestry of Chinese arts, experiences, tourism and cuisine.

This year's Chinese Cultural Festival has also incorporated historical elements of "Ping Pong Diplomacy".

Speaking of the charm of Chinese culture, Ambassador Xie Feng specifically mentioned the popular video game Black Myth: Wukong in his speech.

Craig Allen, the President of the United States-China Business Council (USCBC), said that the Chinese Culture Festival has opened a window for anyone that wants to gain a deeper understanding of Chinese civilization.

This year marks the second consecutive year that SMG has broadcasted the Washington Chinese Culture Festival live.

SMG’s Vice President Wu Qian invited everyone to “meet to Shanghai” in her speech, welcoming them to take the opportunities China offers in the new era and to savor the vibrant charm of Shanghai.
