XL Future Leaders is a two-year leadership development program initiated by PT. XL Axiata Tbk. As a CSR program, we are preparing the global leaders whose heads are entrepreneurs with hearts of social workers for better future of Indonesia. Each batch comprised of ± 150 students coming from various universities in Indonesia, from Aceh to Papua. They follow face-to-face workshops and online courses which challenge them to think critically and strategically.

One of the assignments they experience is working on Social Innovation Projects (SIP) also known as Social Innovations Challenge. It is a final mandatory project that every participant of XL Future Leaders must do as a main requirement to graduate from this program; they will be set free to do this either as a team project or individual project. In this assignment, XL Future Leaders students are required to create a social project, by going into a community, talking with them, finding the root problem, and eventually working with the community to solve that problem. They have to work things out through collaboration; the community’s potential and the students’ ideas, network and resources.

This year SIP theme is Creative Solution for Great Transformation. We have 29 projects that we divided into 3 main categories:

Category II : Education and Inclusion
Category III : Food, Health and Eco Lifestyle
