A huge topic that no one wants to discuss is how dangerous birth is. If it was not dangerous, we would have no need for hospitals and medical care and we would not have any death or serious injuries. But we have a whole community of people that believe medical care is doing more harm than the death and injuries that come from natural birthing at home or in a birth center.

In this video, we discuss preventable deaths of mothers and babies that happened due to having their babies outside of a hospital. This happens more often than any of us would ever know because you cannot find them anywhere if you try to search for them. Social media will cover up any deaths to try to pretend this is not happening.

Just like so many of us that have been in these videos have had our baby's deaths covered up online by people trying to pretend preventable deaths are not happening at home or birth centers. The mothers are even harder to hear about because they aren't able to share what happened. Then we might see something and it gets removed. Things are deleted and blocked so no one sees the reality of natural birthing outside of a hospital.

A VBAC has increased risks due to already having surgery on the uterus. Any surgery on or around the uterus makes someone high risk. But midwives, doulas, and natural birth followers will tell you that is not true. Ruptures do happen and when they do, they are so dangerous that sometimes both mother and baby do not survive. Having to be transported to a hospital might not be enough because there is a small amount of time to save someone and a transfer takes more time than anyone realizes. Even inside the hospital, not everyone gets to the OR in time and they are down the hall vs a transport drive away.
