Boric acid in apple is used as an insecticide.Boric Acid provides us Boron which is a very important micronutrient for the apple crop.

Boron helps in elongation of Pollen Tube in the flowers and thereby stimulates germination of pollen grains. The ultimate result of the Boric acid spray is good fruit setting.

We can spray Boric acid at :
1.Pink Bud Stage
2.Fruit Development stage and
3. As a Foliar application post harvest but before leaf fall.

We should try to avoid excess spraying of Insecticides during Apple Bloom as they can inhibit the Pollination process by destroying the useful insects.
