Om So Hum

Sohum is derived from Sanskrit and means "I am That". Chanting this mantra represents identifying with the omnipresent, which represents the universe or ultimate reality. We chant this mantra to remember that we are all one, that we all came from one Infinite Source, and that a piece of that Infinite Source is in each of us. The sound of the universe is said to be 'Om,' and the natural sound of the breath is said to be So'hum.
