Small wheelbase, mid mounted engine, wide stance... This thing was built to rally and win. And it did both, winning three world championships in a row before Fiat decided they wanted to win instead, not their subsidiary.

But it was a massive collaboration between four Italian companies, and it was a win for Italy rather than one company as they all put in everything to make the car what it was: An icon.
