Watercolour THEN Ink Urban Sketching - Step by Step for Beginners

In this watercolour and ink urban sketching tutorial, we will look at how to sketch with direct watercolours then ink, to create loose light and airy scenes.

This is Eilean Donan castle - I know, now THE most urban scene - but you guys voted for it so I'm sketching it :D

In this process we will start our easy sketching with watercolours, applying them directly onto the page, before adding ink.

So why sketch with watercolour THEN ink, surely it should be watercolour and ink, line and wash, where the line comes first?

Well, actually ,it's ok to do it whichever whatever way around you like - and it's amazing the difference that it can produce!

I'll be using a brush pen for my ink, but you could use any other kind of pen in this sketch and I'll talk you through everything that you might need!
