Welcome back to the channel today I’m gonna talk about the one pipeslice I like to use and that’s from Ridgid! That’s because this actually changes from two different sizes and this is the 15 and 22 mm version. I’m pretty sure they also do half inch and three-quarter but it manages to do it using a little insert that slides down.
So this is in the 15 position and pulling them back on the lugs and the spring you pull it back them up I’m back to 22 so this size. Im pretty sure this is about one of the best slices I’ve ever had it cut super quick and what I also like about it is I can actually change the blade without using any tools so we were able to do is pull this pin out And the blade pops down, pull the blade out and replace with the new one and slide the pin back into place. We all know that if you use the single ones with the screw, you take them out and everything just popped out and flies everywhere so yeah really good function being able to change the blade without using any tools.
I’m pretty sure that this doesn’t use the normal standard blades on the normal pipe sizes so always make sure that if you’re gonna swap the blade over that you get the correct blade to fit pipe sizes.

So I’m gonna do a little comparison between the monuments that I like to carry so these are single slices obviously a 22 version and a 15 is pretty much the smallest size that we can get, the only disadvantage that I found with the rigid is that because it does two sizes when you cut 15 mm the slice is slightly bigger than a normal 15 amount so I always need to make sure that you got a little bit more space to get in that lucky for me I like using nice clips so I’m able to slide them in and cut them on both sizes so I’d like before. I’m pretty sure this is the best That I’ve ever had so what gonna do is, I’m gonna put it to the test with the monument and see how quick we can actually cut this copper with so we’re gonna do the 22 mil and I’m pretty sure this does it in about eight so I’m gonna make sure we got it now so 12345678910, and with the rigid 123 4567 a quick test on the 15 just to give you a little bit of a fair one so we got monument 123456789 1022 and then we’re on the 123 4566.

I’m gonna show you a quick method of how I clean them up so this is one of my old ones that’s in my tool bag I like to use is these little drill brushes is on my drill And what you wanna do if you wanna stick it inside and give it a quick spin, what it does is that eventually it spins the rollers and makes sure that they’re all nice and clean all the way round.

You can also give it a bit of WD-40 give it a good spray and we should be able to make them last well you don’t wanna be doing really is by using these on painted pipes as I’m pretty sure once that all gets in the mechanisms and a rollers it just makes them not work very well so yeah that is the reason why I like to use the rigid two and one said I don’t have to worry about trying to find two of them. I just make sure that I got this on me at all times and I’m all good to go
