In This Video Satyarth Nayak Talk About Enmity between #garuda and Serpents since ancient times. It is believed that the relationship between Garuda and the serpents has been bad since the beginning but still Garuda and the serpents live together.

Both #naga and Garuda are sons of sage Kashyap. On one hand, 1000 Nagas (powerful serpents of Hindu religion) are the sons of Kadru, wife of Rishi Kashyap, while on the other hand, Garuda is the son of Mata Banita.

According to the legend, Nag Mata Kadru had made a condition with Garuda Mata Banita in which Mata Kadru had defeated Mata Banita by deceit and made her a slave. Actually, what happened was that, there was a dispute between Mata Kadru and Garuda Mata Banita regarding this matter. A bet was made whether the color of the seven horses in the chariot of Lord Surya (Benefits of Aarti of Surya Dev) is white or black.

Mata Kadru said that the color of Surya's horses is black, whereas Mata Banita said that the horses in Surya's chariot are white. However, what mother Banita said was true.
When Mata Kadru also realized this, she asked her sons to play a trick on Banita Mata under which the snakes were to cling to the horses of Surya when they came out of the sea the next day. Due to this, the horses would appear black when seen from a distance and Mata Kadru would have won the bet. Exactly what happened was that Mata Kadru won the bet and along with Mata Banita, Garuda also became the slaves of the serpents. However, later after Rishi Kashyap revealed the truth, Mata Banita and Garuda were freed from slavery. So this was the first reason for living with Garuda and the serpents.
