DJJohnny Visits Latchford - Part 7

Описание к видео DJJohnny Visits Latchford - Part 7

Railways & Baptisms!
This is the seventh video in the series of short local history videos, about the Latchford area of Warrington, which is located on the south bank of the River Mersey, within the town of Warrington.
It continues to look at Wash Lane - covering the two old Latchford railway stations (on Station Road) and associated lines, before moving on to the Warrington Football Club and the Latchford Baptist Church. It also includes a brief look at how the building of the Manchester Ship Canal, in the 1890’s, has affected this part of Latchford.
Special thanks to Warrington Library & Museum - Culture Warrington, for their continued help and support - with information and images used. Thanks also to Gordon Gandy, as well as the Latchford History Group - for their excellent booklets and information. I am also very grateful to friends on Facebook - Warrington Memories, for their invaluable information and images used, and in particular to Alan Barton, and Ray Corcoran, for their superb knowledge and pictures. Credit also to those who’s original images have been used, but couldn’t find their source. Thanks to Ian Rigby, for his continued help support and companionship in the making of these little videos, which is very much appreciated and special thanks to Heather Griffin, Mark Delahunty, Richard Jackson Robin Urwin and Jimmy Lawley. Finally, thanks to my wife - Liz, for her help with filming and editing this series! Thanks to you all!
