The Girls’ Education Challenge(GEC) is one of PwC’s largest programmes with the UK Department for International Development (DFID). The GEC aims to support up to a million marginalised girls improve their access to a quality education in some of the poorest countries in the world. In April 2015, David Armstrong and Jack McMahon from PwC in the UK visited Uganda as part of the GEC’s annual review process. The team filmed 3 out of the 6 projects operating in Uganda and asked to hear the stories of the girls directly impacted by their activities. The outcome was this short video which demonstrates some of the impact the GEC is having through the voices of the girls benefitting from the programme.
