বাংলায় ১৯৪৩ এর মন্বন্তর । Bengal Famine 1943 | The Role Of Winston Churchill | is a short video about Bengal Famine which was taken place in 1943 though out the Bengal (at that time Bengal meant entire West Bengal and Bangladesh). At that time India was under British rule. Within the period of World War II, British had largely participated in the War, on the other hand Japan was invading Burma (At present Mayanmar). As Britain and Japan were rivals of each other, British tried to stop Japan from entering into Bengal and arranged strategy so that no food help could have been provided from Bengal. Being said that British had taken some ruthless steps to break chain supply of rice from Bengal and as a result rice became insufficient for Bengal's native people. Though urban people had somehow managed to live, however rural people were captured by the severe Famine. At that time rice production was already less than previous two years on the top of that England imported a large amount of rice for their army who were in the World War II. Not only Famine but also Malaria, Unsanitary Condition, Malnutrition etc. which were equivalently responsible for death of at least 4 million people. No certain measure was taken from British Raj to control the lack of food supplies and behind all those decisions the only responsible person was the Prime Minister of England, Winston Churchill, for whom Indian people did not have any value of their life.
