Brahma-Kamal Institute of Dance & Drawing presented Shyama in NAANDI UTSAV 2021 with the Financial Assistance from MINISTRY OF CULTURE, GOVERNMENT OF INDIA under Cultural Function & Production Grant Scheme for the period 2021 - 2022.

Short Story of Shyama :
Shyama was the quintessential court dancer - experienced in love and pleasure. She wasn't used to refusal. She always got whatever she desired.
Uttio was a mere novice. Hesitant and squandering in life and love. He fell for Shyama. Shyama didn't realise much nor did she care.
Bajrasen was a handsome bountiful trader. And he came from distant lands. The unknown in him drew Shyama's attention. She desired him. When he unfortunately got accused of theft without any iota of truth Shyama influenced the forces to buy time first and thereafter enticed hapless Uttio to swap for Bajrasen's alleged sin.
Uttio died to set Bajrasen free.
Shyama as always got what she wanted. Grateful and mesmerized Bajrasen got submerged in Shyama's wild love. But it was a passing phase of mere transience. The unknown facts tumbled out. Bajrasen was in a state of shocked disbelief. He discarded the heartless cruel woman.
Thus none got the person that was aspired for. All went after the mirage of amorous love They all naturally failed.
Shyama is a story of failed love.
