HOW NOT TO KILL A PEPEROMIA & EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THEM

In this video, Pinoy Plantito shares how to take care of peperomias and how to grow lush and healthy peperomias. He started by sharing the background of the plant- its origin, features and characteristics. He also introduced some of the varieties of pepperomias like watermelon peperomia, peperomia caperata, peperomia obstifolia, peperomia metallica, peperomia scandens, peperomia teardrop, to name a few.
Next, he talks about the lighting, humidity and water requirement for peperomias. Most importantly, he talks about the most common reason for killing peperomia which is root and stem rot, its cause being a fungal infection called phytium due to anaerobic soil and clogged pots. He shares on how to deal with mealybugs as well. He also shared some of the symptoms peperomias are showing, what it could mean and what to do about it. He did a sample propagation of the two ways peperomis are propagated: thru stem and leaf cutting propagation.
