Sidechain Compression on your effects = Awesome!

I recently learned a new way to use sidechain compression to help tame a reverb or delay effect.

Sometimes a song calls for a lot of reverb on a vocal, but once you slap on a lot of reverb you tend to lose the clarity of the vocal inside all that verb.

Setting up a sidechain compressor on your reverb send can help that reverb be heard only when you want it to, and still let the vocal cut through the mix and be clear.

It's hard to explain in words, so I've shot a video showing you exactly how to set this all up.

It may be a little complicated at 1st if you're new to mixing, but it's really not that hard once you dive in. Take a look.
