Audi SQ8 e-tron 2024 review: Major EV update arrives for BMW iX M60 and Mercedes-AMG EQE53 SUV rival

The 2024 Audi SQ8 e-tron is all about the big numbers. Yes, the premium large SUV has had a name change for its midlife facelift, with the e-tron S no more, but it's what's under the bonnet that astounds: a fully electric powertrain with not one, not two but three motors. Combined outputs jump off the paper even more, with up to 370kW of power delivered alongside 973Nm of torque.

But there's more to the SQ8 e-tron story than just straight-line performance, as it ushers in a massive 106kWh battery pack that delivers up to 471km of WLTP-rated driving range. Either way, the rivalling BMW iX M60 and Mercedes-AMG EQE53 SUV are sure to feel the pressure as a result.
