Odisha likely to experience fresh spell of rainfall activities from December 24
Odisha is expected to witness a fresh spell of rainfall from December 24, due to a low-pressure system over the Bay of Bengal. Dense fog is very likely to occur on Monday at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Kalahandi, and Angul.

Bhubaneswar: As anticipated, the Odisha government on Tuesday shunted out senior Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officer Bishnupada Sethi from his current multiple positions and appointed him as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the general administration.


On December 19 and 20, the state witnessed rainfall along the coastal areas like Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Khordha, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, and Nabarangpur. The IMD predicted thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds during these two days.

A meeting of BJD MLAs was held at Naveen's Niwas after the assembly. 20 to 25 MLAs arrived at Naveen's niwas after calling the MLAs. Party supremo Naveen Patnaik discussed with the MLAs for about 40 minutes. BJD vice president Devi Mishra, host Atanu Sabyasachi Naik were also present in the meeting.


Bhubaneswar: In Subhadra Yojana of Odisha, the disbursement of money that had been slated for December 25, 2024 has been put on hold. Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida informed in a Statement on Monday. As per reports, the government of Odisha has postponed the payment of the fourth phase of the 1st instalment of Subhadra Scheme money to the beneficiary women, which was to be received on December 25, 2024.
