In this video I have my e36 1992 325i 6 cylinder and I will be removing the Intake manifold in order to remove the starter motor and replace it.

Removing the manifold requires the removal of the injector rail too but not completely, and the throttle body.

You will have access to the idle control valve too and some vacuum hose which you could replace while you have the manifold out.
