My hair has been through quite the journey. The toll that being a cancer parent takes on your mental and physical health is a lot sometimes. I didn't even realize how bad my hair was falling out until I went to see my hairdresser. She was shocked and then when she pointed it out I realized the stress of almost 3 years of watching your child suffer through chemo was getting to me. I wasn't sleeping well (hospital chair anyone?) and I ate ok sometimes (hospital food anyone?). Mentally I was exhausted too. Now that Lexi is in remission and going to school and living a more normal life, I've started to focus a little bit on myself again. I'm trying to take care of my hair and go heatless. I don't blow dry it anymore unless I'm doing a blowout for a special occasion. I try not to use the straightener except very rarely, and I let it air dry most of the time. It's finally filling back out and the baby hairs are getting longer again. With that said, I want to wear my natural curls more. I've always had wavy hair and curls. I would usually just use some sort of curl gel or mousse so I was excited to try out XMONDO Wavetech Wavefoam by Brad Mondo. It is everything it is hyped to be and more! I loved how it defined my curls and they weren't stiff or sticky! I went to sleep on them and they were still going strong the next day. By day 3 I needed a little refresh on them, but I was shocked how good they still looked! If you have any curl to your hair this will definitely enhance them. Highly recommend!
